Global container shipping company SeaLead on August 3 announced the launch of a new route called FIX, which will connect Chinese ports and India's east coast.
Notably, the route is SeaLead with Sinotrans (Sinotrans), SITC and TS Lines.
SeaLead said that FIX's first voyage will be on August 23, 2023, calling the following ports:
Qingdao-Shanghai-Ningbo-Shekou-Chennai-Visakhapatnam-Port Klang-Shekou-Qingdao.
FIX will provide one of the fastest transportation from China to Chennai and Visakhapatnam.
In addition to direct ports, the FIX service will also allow connection to other seaad direct and feeder services, connecting Australia, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia, the SeaLead said. Customers in India can also choose from ports in the Mediterranean, Egypt and Turkey to provide SeaLead services through Port Klang, enabling fast and reliable services between these regions. "

The launch of the new service comes just weeks after SeaLead opened a new office in Mumbai to serve as a hub for its South Asian operations, is informed. The move signals SeaLead's commitment to the Indian market, which is expected by 2023 to be the fastest growing major economy.
The newly opened FIX route will provide efficient and reliable links between China and India, the world's two largest economies. It is estimated that bilateral trade will increase by 10% in 2023. There are several factors that promote this growth, including the two countries' continued economic growth and middle class rise, the implementation of the new trade agreement between China and India, and the reduction of trade barriers.
