Alphaliner latest data show that as of September 22, 2023, the world is operating a total of 6700 container ships, with a total capacity of 27.7905 million TEU, equivalent to 0.331 billion dwt.
The global liner companies are Mediterranean Shipping (5.326 million TEU, 19.3 per cent), Maersk Shipping (4.142 million TEU, 15.0 per cent) and Dafei Shipping (3.507 million TEU, 12.7 per cent).
